homespalogoDetails: Give your shower the spa effect with 100% natural aromatherapy shower sprays from Home Spa. Available in four delicious scents – Eucalyptus, Tangerine, Grapefruit and Lavender. Made from essential oils.

Personal Experience: As someone who has experienced the effects of aromatherapy in my life, I was curious about the idea of incorporating this into my daily shower routine.

The citrus scents were great for perking me up after a lousy night of sleep. I definitely preferred the grapefruit scent over the tangerine. On occasion, I combined them for a custom citrus blend. The eucalyptus was a big help when I was suffering from a stuffy nose during a  recent cold. I found almost instant relief with a hot eucalyptus-scented shower. On several occasions, I even ran the shower a few moments and spritzed it the lavender before putting my son in for his evening bath and found he was sleeping better than ever. It’s a great solution, because all the lavender products designed to be applied directly to his skin irritate his eczema.

My only real issue, and it’s kind of a big one, is that the scent simply didn’t last long at all. Four sprays got me about three to five minutes of scent. If I used any cleansers with a scent of their own (shampoo, body was, etc), it overpowered the shower spray instantly. I found I was able to counteract that some by doing all I needed to in the shower first and then spraying the desired scent into the shower stream… it gave me a few minutes to just enjoy the lovely scents and benefit from their effects before they faded away.

I think the layout of your bathroom and the type of shower are going to play a large role in how effective the sprays are. We have an average-sized bathroom and a fabric shower curtain. If your shower were more enclosed with solid doors, I am certain the scent would linger much longer.

Pros: Effective aromatherapy. Lovely scents for many uses. Great alternative for those who can’t apply scented products directly, but still want the benefits of aromatherapy.

Cons: Scent doesn’t linger very long. At about $13 each, their a bit overpriced for the effect you get.

I would like to get the eucalyptus one the most because like you said it would help open the sinuses. And with the winter colds we get, it would be soothing. I would probably spray it a couple times once I was done washing up just to breathe it in.

The eucalyptus one does sound like it would be great for when you have a cold! ANything that provides relief when you have a cold is a must have in my books! Of course..I would love to try all of them :)

I’ve tried the tangerine and while I enjoy the scent very much, I have to agree that they do not linger at all. I just keep spraying it throughout my shower but that’s not the most ideal way to use them.

I love that these are 100% natural, and I like the variety of scents. I would love to try the citrus scents. I have a grapefruit body wash right now that I love!

This sounds really great! I’ve never heard of them before.

I have never heard of these. I usually just use essential oils but these sound a bit easier.
