{Works in Progress} Frost Willow Socks
Since creating the Willow Socklets pattern, I have been wanting knit up a version with a higher cuff. The original Willow was created because I wanted summery socks and I only had one skein of the KnitPicks Glimmer in white.
This time I have two skeins… so I am going a wee bit taller. The color is called Frost. It is a very, very pale blue that looks almost white in all the photos I take. It is just gorgeous!
I had nearly forgotten how easy this pattern is! I’m a slower knitter, but I made the bit above in just a few hours. I’m not making as fast of progress now, but I am working on two commissioned pairs of socks for a member of my husband’s family. Project posts to come on those.
I would like to rework this pattern on smaller needles to see how the lace looks on a smaller scale… and I prefer tighter gauge on socks, because they tend to hold up better. That will have to come after I do the gloves, hat, and scarf for my sister-in-law.
