As I’ve been going back through old posts and cleaning things up a bit, I have noticed that my blog has really lost that personal touch that was once so important to me. So, when I stumbled across the following pin, I knew I had to do it. It will be a chance to bring back a bit of that old blog and get me back in the habit of writing regularly.

Day one is an introduction, so here we go! 🙂 For those that don’t know, my name is Tonya. I was born, raised, and still live in Wisconsin. I am nearing 40 a bit too quickly. 😉 I am married to my husband Ross and we have a son named Xander. A couple of Siberian cats named Pandora and Selune round out our little family.

I love to knit. I first taught myself the basics when I was a kid (about 10 years old), but I set it aside for a long time when I got frustrated with a project. Many years later I received chemical burns from an accident at work. During the recovery process, the skin on my hands began to stiffen up. My dermatologist recommended knitting to keep the skin flexible. The second time around for knitting was much more successful thanks to the emergence of the internet. Then I discovered sock knitting. It sort of snowballed from there and an obsession was born. My latest project is below…

That same injury led to a weight gain from medication. I’ve struggled to lose that weight for almost 15 years now. That journey has been a big part of why I started this blog in the first place. It has not been a pretty journey! 🙁 I very recently discovered the low carb lifestyle and I’m having amazing success. I’ll definitely be writing about that more very soon.

My music tastes are all over the place. My favorite musical artists include many genres. Among the artist I enjoy, you’ll find Enya, Hanson, Tchaikovsky, Beach Boys, The Corrs, Alabama, Poison, Peter Cetera,  and most recently Ed Sheeran.

Okay, so I think I rambled on enough considering I didn’t think I could put together a few sentences for this intro. 😛 Anything I missed that you would like to know?
