Though they were technically just cousins, Kade and Slade were raised as brothers and Slade never thought of Kade as anything other than his big brother. They had a very close relationship, and this is probably why Slade was probably very much like Kade in some ways.
He was a bit more serious than the comedic Kade, but Slade shared the knack for creativity and surrounded himself with creative friends. That may or may not explain that phase where he insisted on dressing up as a green bear. It did coincide with Kade moving out of the house to live with Anika, so he was probably a bit upset to lose his brother. Slade never really was a big fan of his brother’s wife.
Slade outgrew that bear phase eventually and traded it for a crazy hairstyle and retro-looking clothes. He threw his creativity into writing books and poetry. Before he even graduated from high school, he was already a successful author of several books.
While in high school, Slade met another creative soul in his friend Trinity. Trinity was a talented artist. They could spend hours discussing their favorite authors and color theory. They enjoyed visiting the local coffee house and exploring the city for graffiti art.
Their relationship was truly just friends through all of high school. They decided to move into the city together and pursue their careers in writing and art. The relationship seemed like destiny but it moved slowly… they were just roomies at first. It was a perfect relationship of support and hard work.
In time, Slade realized that there was more there than just friends. He hesitated to see if Trinity felt the same. One night, when they had both had a few too many drinks at the juice bar, Slade confessed his attraction. He was pleasantly surprised to learn that Trinity felt the same. From there, things moved quickly. It was only days later that Slade popped the question! Trinity didn’t hesitate when she said yes… even though he was suffering from an unfortunate skin condition at the time.
Trinity’s natural talents in art and Slade’s excellent skills in writing led to very lucrative careers for both of them. They soon moved up from their tiny city apartment to a larger unit in the same building. More room to move and an inspiring view made it the perfect place for a creative newlywed couple!
In our next installment, we’ll catch up with Kade’s son Lucian and soon after we will see where Slade and Trinity’s story goes. While you wait, catch up on our Legacy Sims and meet others with Sim Stories!
