{Crochet Stitches} Kuranchi

crochetstitch_kuranchiNotes: The Kuranchi stitch is a variation on the Crunchy stitch we showed you last week. It is a combination of slip stitches, single and double crochet that creates a lightweight fabric great for sweaters.

Stitch Count: Any odd number of stitches

Written Instructions: 

  • Row 1 (RS): Dc in 4th ch from hook and in ea ch across, turn.
  • Row 2: Sl st in 1st dc, *dc in next dc, sl st in next dc; rep from * across, end with sl st in top of turning ch, turn.
  • Row 3: Ch 3 (counts as 1st dc), dc in each st across, turn.
  • Repeat rows 2 and 3 until desired length is reached.
