At Christmas time it is nice to surround yourself with things that are cozy and warm. Cuddly, plush toys are always a great gift idea! Aurora World sent us Peppermint Mocha, Icy Bear, and Just Chillin’ Racoon to visit with and share our thoughts on them to you.
I love stuffed animals and often buy them for loved ones, so I’ve gotten pretty good at spotting quality plush. I could tell from the moment I took these out of the box that they were very well made. All of them are made of different types of faux furs, but all of them are very soft. They are stuffed firmly, but still have good squish-ability for cuddling. Even our cat Pandora wanted to cuddle up with them!
The stitching is strong and even, so they should hold up well as treasured pals. The fur was not caught up inside the seams and the seams are mostly hidden. The accessories are attached pretty firmly, but Icy Bear’s scarf likes to shift around quite a lot but stays attached. I personally prefer the look of the knit scarf on the Just Chillin’ Racoon versus the felt scarves of the other two, but I think the felt scarves will hold up better overall.
I have not washed any yet, but I have every reason to believe that they would hold up well to washing as long as you take care with washing. I like to wash plush animals inside a soft pillowcase on a gentle or hand wash cycle. Dry while still in the pillowcase on your most gentle heated setting.
Overall, these would be a wonderful gift for the loved ones in your life. Give the gift of smiles this year!
Pros: Well made. Very soft. Cuddleable! Competitively priced ($5 and up).
Cons: So cute you’ll want too many!
