Details: Being music lovers and always on the run, the Tego Audio Team grew increasingly frustrated with the lack of mini portable speakers that met their standard of quality, sound, and style. They searched all the major retail stores and websites, and were amazed no one carried such a product. They thought, if we’re looking for this, there must be other music fans looking as well. The Tego Audio Team decided if they can’t find it, they will create it….and that’s when Tego Audio was born.

Personal Experience: I was given a red CERA speaker for the purpose of this review. It arrived in a compact and sleek package that showed an attention to detail. An outer sleeve slides off to reveal a drawer-like package. The CERA speaker is nestled within the package. The accessories were neatly tucked in below the speaker. It was all very neatly done and would make a great presentation for gifting.
The design of the CERA is very sleek, as well. It is globe-shaped and fits in the palm of your hand. Pressing on the top causes it to open up and power on. There is a voice prompt to let you know when it comes on. (Another tells you when your device is pairing/ paired with Bluetooth.) A bright blue light adds a futuristic touch. Basic controls on the top (play, stop, next, and last) also light up in the same blue. When you are at the highest or lowest volume level, a little chime sound plays to let you know. The bottom has a rubberized finish, so it will stay put even on smooth surfaces. There are also ports for charging and connecting multiple speakers.
Maybe it’s the geek in me, but I love the sound of it powering on…
The section on my speaker that moves upward appears to be slightly off-kilter. (You can see it in the photo above.) It didn’t appear to affect the upward movement and did not look misaligned when raised, so this seems like a minor issue. Without another speaker to compare it to, I don’t know if this is normal.
The CERA Wireless Bluetooth Speaker includes several accessories. There is a charging cable, a “daisy chain” cable, and an audio cable for non-Bluetooth devices. I like that the speaker is rechargeable and it connects easily to the computer to do this. I also have a charging station for my cell phone and Kindle that allows you to plug USB cables directly into it. I was able to use this to charge the CERA as well.
The CERA paired easily with my Android phone and I’ve been using it to blast holiday tunes throughout the house. I even brought it along outdoors when we were hanging our lights. I have to say… I am quite impressed with how much sound comes from this little speaker! It packs quite a punch for something that you could easily tuck in your purse, backpack, or luggage. I am looking forward to taking it out for backyard BBQs.
It did get a bit of a tinny sound when I got to the last few increments in the volume increases. It was most noticeable in MP3s I had ripped from my CDs and least noticeable when playing streaming music. For everyday use, the volume would never be used at that level, so it was a very minor issue for me.
I have also used it as a wired speaker on my Kindle and laptop. It worked just as well wired as it did wireless. It wasn’t until using the CERA with my Kindle that I truly realized just how much room the Kindle’s speakers have for improvement.
The speakers can be daisy chained to each other and played simultaneously. You can connect an infinite number of speakers together to get bigger sound. I didn’t have an opportunity to test this out, because I only received one speaker, but I can imagine… with all the power in one speaker, several connected together sounds like a reason for a party! 😉
The CERA Wireless Bluetooth Speaker sells for $89.99 individually or $199.99 as a 3-pack. It would make a great gift for the tech-savvy people on your list, but is easy enough to use that even the “noobs” on your list can appreciate it!

Pros: Sleek, compact design with powerful sound. Wireless and wired options available. Rechargeable. Can be connected for bigger sound.
Cons: A bit rough on the wallet, but you get what you pay for. Possible construction issue, but it doesn’t appear to affect playback.
These speakers look so awesome…I love that it comes with its own carrying case
Love this speaker… small so it doesn’t take up much room but very cute. Would love to win it and I could certainly use it. This is definitely one win I’d keep for myself.
Wow, I would love this! The idea of daisy-chaining them together really sounds great to me! I could set up my own system with theses. And you’re right – that blue light DOES add a futuristic touch. And nice size, too!
I recently bought an iPod and would love to get an external speaker to use with it. This is the only one I have seen that lights up and I really like that they can be linked together.
I could really use some wireless speakers. Too many wires!
I like how these things glow
Very cool speaker. There are times when I just want to chill with some music but don’t want the headphones happening. This would be great for me!
This speaker looks very nice. Thanks for the interesting and informative review!
Love the design – it looks like another home decor aside from being a speaker. Cool features too!
This speaker looks really cool, I love the glowing light.
I really love the look of this speaker. I love that its wireless and bluetooth compatible too. The design is very contemporary and I love the color. It looks like something from the future. Love it. I do agree its alittle pricey. Thanks for sharing the review of this product.

Glad you enjoyed the review. It really is a powerful little speaker and I still use it often. I’m really looking forward to trying it outdoors for parties this summer.
