{Interviews With Myself} Work Stress

Would you work for someone who stresses you out even if the money was good?

My current boss drives me crazy. She expects me to work long hours, sets crazy deadlines, and drinks on the job. She really doesn’t pay so well, either. Oh, wait, I’m a blogger… I am my boss. :P

To be serious,  it would ultimately depend on the job. I have worked jobs that I may have enjoyed if my boss had not been so difficult to deal with and I have had jobs that I really enjoyed so I dealt with the stresses that came with the it. For me, it’s not as much about what the job pays but what the job is. Sure, it has to meet a minimum to pay the bills, but I don’t want to hate going to work every day… I want to feel like I’m contributing something, being true to myself, and enjoying what I do.

How would you answer this question? Do you think you would you deal better with the stress if it was your dream job?

  1. No, my sister just quit her job because of that, your health is more important!!!!!

    • I agree. I think you would have to really like the job itself to counteract the stress of the boss.

  2. Hahaha! That’s a fun post for sure! I have a boss like yours.

  3. I would rather have a job I liked instead of more money, and a bad boss.

    • It certainly makes it easier to find the push to go to work every day when you love what you do.
