{Knit Stitches} Chains



Notes: The Chains stitch resembles interlocking chains on a bed of purl stitches. This eye-catching pattern is reversible, easy to work, and would be well-suited to just about any application.

Stitch Count: Multiple of 6 stitches.

Written Instructions:

  • Row 1 and 3 (RS): *K1, p1, k1, p3; repeat from * to end.
  • Row 2: *K1,p1; rep from * to end.
  • Row 4 and 6: *P1, k1, p1, k3; rep from * to end.
  • Row 5: *P1, k1; rep from * to end.
  • Repeat rows 1 through 6 to desired length.
