Personal Experience: I have worked with Kinivo before as part of my Holiday Gift Guide, so it was exciting to work with them again on a new offering. It’s about time to start thinking of gift ideas for the dad in your life, and I think I have just the thing to make him very happy! Let me introduce you to the Kinivo BTH410 Hi-Fi Bluetooth Stereo Headset…

I’ll start with the aesthetics, because it was my first impression of the headset. The overall design manages to be a great mixture of sleek design with sturdy construction. It’s suitable for males and females… it even adjusted to fit my child’s (slightly large) head. They are lightweight and not bulky compared to other similar headsets I’ve used. I didn’t think the band was adjustable at first, because the mechanism blends so well. The cushioned earpieces are very comfortable. The fabric (leather?) is very soft and supple. The padding is thick and readily conforms to the ears. It does a superb job of blocking outside disturbances. The power, volume, and next/back buttons all blend so seamlessly into the band that I actually had to read directions to find them. The whole headset folds into a surprisingly compact space for such a solid headset.

The headset comes with a micro usb charging cord. This seems to be the current standard for charging. I love that so many devices are getting on board with this… makes life so much easier when you don’t need to find that one cord that goes with that one device! They also included a 3.5mm audio cable, so you can use this your non-Bluetooth devices as well.

And now the most important thing… the sound! To date, I have used these with a smartphone, tablet, Kindle, and a Win8 computer. I’ve used them to listen to music and audiobooks as well as to make internet calls. No matter what the situation, the sound came across crystal clear. I truly realized how clear when I was listening to a song I’ve played for years and I realized I’d been hearing a few of the lyrics wrong. I could actually understand them correctly now! When listening to music, I am getting a much richer sound. Bass sounds so great on these! When making an internet call, the person on the other end said I was coming across clearer than ever.

I had great range on these, as well. I could walk into another room and still maintain my connection. It didn’t have as great of a range as some of my other headsets, but the sound quality more than makes up for it.

I did have a little issue trying to find the buttons along the headset when I was wearing them. It’s one of those things that will take a little time to come naturally. They almost disappear into the band.

This truly is my favorite headset to date. I’ve bought several pairs looking for the right one to meet my needs. I had intended to give these to my husband, but I think I’m just going to have to buy another set… I can’t go back to my subpar set when I have these!

Pros: Great aesthetics. Super sound for music and voice! Comfortable to wear. Foldable.

Cons: A little difficult to locate the volume and advance buttons by feel at times.
