{Nutrisystem Nation} Day Forty to Forty-Two

The weekend. Not good… not good at all. It went so poorly that I didn’t even want to make my usual food collage….

Friday was a train wreck! I started out great… even took a long walk that burned almost 500 calories… but rewarded the hard work with a candy bar. I basically punished myself by not eating my next two meals (lunch and snack) and then ended up asking my husband to stop for pizza on his way home… specifically the Papa Murphy’s calorie-laden grease trap known as the five-meat Chicago-style stuffed crust. And, I ate two slices. I was gassy, bloated, and miserable all night.

Saturday started out well with a quick breakfast before the Prince’s soccer practice. While we were there, I got a call from my mom and learned that there was a large neighborhood rummage sale going on. I’m on the lookout for a few specific things, so we headed out to locate it. We never did… and I never ate. We got home just in time to get ready to go to my niece’s dance recital. More not eating. We ended up at Applebees for dinner after the show. After going all day with no food, I couldn’t control my decisions. I looked right over the healthier options and got sidelined by garlic mashed potatoes. Then we headed over to my mom’s house to all visit a bit longer… and I ended up sampling a large piece of a sugary treat my brother-in-law brought along. Just not a good day.

Sunday didn’t get any better, but rather than not eating it was a case of not stopping the eating. I couldn’t seem to find what I was hungry for!

I know I had to have gained. I refuse to step on the scale, because I don’t want to get discouraged. It’s time to take on a new week, get back on track, and hope to see a loss next Monday.
