Sorry for the delay on the day seven round-up. There have been a couple of rough nights and I’ve had zero motivation. I’m pretty much just going to give my impressions of the food today…
The Chocolate Chip Granola Bar made a good, quick start to the day. It was chewy and soft. I was surprised by how sweet it was. I ate a little later than normal, but I was impressed with how full it kept me. I wasn’t even hungry for my lunch.
I have never had Kung Pao, so I have nothing to compare it to… but I really enjoyed the Nutrisystem version. There’s a slight spiciness to it and I think it would compliment a large variety of different veggie mix-ins. I added a V8 on the side to boost my veggie intake for the day even more.
I wasn’t even hungry when my EnergiZING Shake time came around, so I drank just the shake. I ran it through the blender with some ice and cinnamon. It was a refreshing treat in the middle of the day.
Dinner was Chili with Beans. My experience with canned chili is rather mixed, but I really enjoyed this. There’s not much spice at all, so I will definitely need to spruce it up when I have it again. I do appreciate that they keep the foods rather bland, so those of us that like the heat can add it but those that do better with milder flavors can also enjoy a dish.
My final meal of my first week was the Craving Crusher Shake and some veggies. A good end to the week. On to week two…
Today’s menu consisted of 976 calories, 63 grams protein, and 18 grams of fat.
