Yesterday’s craziness carried over into today. I wasn’t hungry until near dinnertime. I indulged a bit for dinner, but managed to do so in a reasonable manner.

My breakfast was the Blueberry Muffin. This one was a tad dry compared to last time. My cat, Pandora, was just as obsessed with this as she was before. I don’t know what it is with her and these blueberry muffins, but she was at my feet literally seconds after I ripped open the package and she continued to hound me until it was gone… from climbing my back to trying to swipe the pieces directly from my mouth. She just goes crazy over it! She likes baked good, but I have never seen her get quite so dramatic about it before these muffins came along.

It was cold and dreary here again today… perfect weather for soup. I know I have been slacking on my veggie servings lately, so I added an extra serving of cooked carrots directly to my Chicken Noodle Soup. I had whole grain crackers spread with Laughing Cow cheese on the side. A tasty and comforting lunch.

I was so hungry for some French fries and I decided to indulge in them, but I didn’t want to go completely crazy with a fatty burger and all. I decided to make a chicken wrap using teh precooked chicken breast strips, a whole grain tortilla shell, lettuce, tomato, light cheese, and the calorie-free bacon and ranch dressing. The whole meal was so satisfying and under 500 calories… a bit high, but still reasonable.

I made a tiny serving of chocolate icing to go over the Chocolate Cake. It looked and tasted so indulgent! Not as good as my homemade chocolate cake, but a very fair substitute for this gal on a diet. ;)

Later on I had some cottage cheese and peaches for a snack, but I forgot to grab a photo. I don’t know how I ended up so low on calories today with all the indulgence, but the low protein and high fat are no surprise.

Today’s menu consisted of 1,297 calories, 70 grams protein, and 46 grams of fat.
