I can’t believe that I’ve made it this far into a diet program and I’m still sticking with it! I think having success with it is definitely strengthening my resolve.
I got an early start to the day today, so I spaced out my meals a bit more during the daytime. I started with a Nutrisystem Chocolate Chip Granola Bar and one of my egg scrambles for breakfast. I really enjoy these egg scrambles… and at only 122 calories, they are easy to add into my day for a boost of protein.
Another favorite combination for lunch. That big ol’ salad complete with chicken, light cheese, bacon, tomatoes, and dressing is just 196 calories! I love that Nutrisystem has taught me so much about making satisfying meals from lighter ingredients. I paired it with a Fudge Graham Bar… one of my favorites of the lunch bars.
A simple snack of cottage cheese and peaches saw me through the early part of the afternoon.
We had the Prince’s piano lessons in the evening, so I grabbed a quick snack before we left. That huge pile of chips is just one serving (1 ounce) of the Simply 7 Quinoa Chips. They are so full of flavor and have a satisfying crunch. I don’t miss “real” chips now. I added some light string cheese and tomatoes to round it out.
Dinner was the Mac and Cheese dinner cup. It came out quite runny this time, but I just mixed the veggies right in. I got in three servings of veggies in one meal! I should have paired this with an additional protein, but I wasn’t feeling very hungry.
I got out for an evening walk by myself after dinner. It’s amazing how much faster and farther I can go without a stroller to push or a toddler to follow! It was peaceful and cool… perfect walking conditions.
I had my remaining Red Velvet Whoopie Pie for dessert. I ate it still frozen. It tasted even better that way!
Today’s menu consisted of 1,448 calories, 111 grams protein, and 40 grams of fat.
