Week three started out very roughly for me. I was very disappointed in my small gain on Monday and I let it get me down way more than it should have. I indulged in candy left in the house from Easter. I ate some meals and foods that I shouldn’t have. I didn’t exercise. It was a mess.

Midway through the week, with some encouragement from my buddies on the Nutrisystem message boards, I sucked it up and got back on track. I was a bit low on calories some of those final days of last week, but I think it balanced out the earlier part of the week. I also bought a couple of Walk Away the Pounds DVDs to mix up my routine and give me a more organized”walk” on all these rainy days we’ve been experiencing here in Wisconsin.

The food was as good as ever and I found a few new favorites. Early in the week I had the Nutrisystem Granola. I mixed it with some Greek yogurt and fresh sliced strawberries for a very satisfying breakfast. If I were on the plan where I choose my own meals, this granola concoction would be on the menu at least once a week. One of my favorite new dinners was the Broccoli and Cheese Stuffed Chicken breast. Cheesy, moist, and flavorful… and a very easy meal to add foods to or use in different ways (such as diced over rice). Two desserts are worth mentioning here too. The Chocolate Brownie Sundae was chocolatey and sweet and I was forced to share. 😛 I also really enjoyed the Golden Pound Cake. It would be great on its own, but it is also the perfect canvas for fruits, jello, and other toppings.

So, how did the week end up? Let’s take a look…

Woohoo! A loss! I lost 1.3 pounds this week, so I took that fraction of a pound back off and lost another pound. I’m now just shy of losing 10 pounds. It feels so awesome to lose so much weight while rarely feeling hungry. The smaller portions spread out into more meals throughout my day has helped me to lose weight. With the damage done to my metabolism, I wasn’t sure that was possible for me anymore!

My measurements stayed similar. The tracker on Nutrisystem only tracks in full inches, but I did lose fractions of an inch from a few places. I rounded up to the nearest inch, so everything appeared to stay the same. I did have need to break down and buy new jeans this week… and I was able to buy a size smaller. 🙂

On to week four!
