Details: Because I Tried It prepares a personalized biorhythm chart for you using your birthday. You can get this chart for as little as $2 by email or as much as $20 for a framed chart… with several options in between. They also have numerous other personalized products. Among them you will find letters from the Tooth Fairy, numerology reports, children’s prints, and personalized party favors… just to name a few.

More information on biorhythms from Wikipedia: According to believers in biorhythms, a person’s life is influenced by rhythmic biological cycles that affect one’s ability in various domains, such as mental, physical and emotional activity. These cycles begin at birth and oscillate in a steady (sine wave) fashion throughout life; thus, by modeling them mathematically, a person’s level of ability in each of these domains can be predicted from day to day.

Most biorhythm models use three cycles: a 23-day “physical” cycle, a 28-day “emotional” cycle, and a 33-day “intellectual” cycle. Although the 28-day cycle is the same length as the average woman’s menstrual cycle and was originally described as a “female” cycle, the two are not necessarily in any particular synchronization. Each of these cycles varies between high and low extremes sinusoidally, with days where the cycle crosses the zero line described as “critical days” of greater risk or uncertainty.~from Wikipedia

Personal Experience: I received my chart by email the very same day that I placed my order. It gave me a chance to put it to the test right away. The chart is very simple to read and clearly points out important dates. The pleasant colors and clean lines make it nice enough to be framed.

I would go to my chart at the end of each day in an attempt to not sway my day based on the charts. I found that, with a few exceptions, the chart accurately predicted my mental, physical, and emotional state for that day. The exceptions were usually due to outside forces… like the day my health suffered a bit when my son hit me in the head with a toy. During the low point in my health is when I ended up suffering from the cold that has been hitting everyone around me.

Prior to this review, I was pretty skeptical of something like this. Having experienced it first hand, I can now say that there may actually be some merit to biorhythms and it is a subject worth exploring further.

My only complaint of the charts themselves is the lack of information for a newbie like myself. I had to go elsewhere to find out how to make use of the chart. A year’s worth of charts with such instruction would make a fun gift.

Pros: I was surprised to find them accurate. Very reasonably priced.

Cons: Lack of information for a person just beginning to dabble in the study of biorhythms.
