I was recently given the opportunity to review a sampling of Gotta Bandage’s Boo Boo Monsters bandages. They sent me 3 Boo Boo Monster 20 pc bandage boxes, a recyclable tote, a sticker set and a bonus 8 pc. bandage tin in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. You’ll have a chance to win the same package below!
The Boo Boo Bandages come in a package of twenty with five each of four fun designs. The designs on their own are really cute and fun, but these also glow in the dark! It adds a fun… and slightly spooky… element to healing Halloween-time boo boos.
- Count Buckula: Often mistaken for a vampire, Count Buckula is really just a mysteriously pale dude with buckteeth, who wears a cape and medallion for that “wow” factor. He does it for the ladies… and they swoon.
- François Stein: Like the smooth French gentleman that he is, François Stein always comes proper and has extremely good manners. Some think his scar is frightful, but we think it adds to his charm.
- Miss Mum: Hailing from the UK, Miss Mum loves to walk with outstretched arms. Don’t be alarmed, she just wants to show you her manicure & give you a big hug!
- Wolfgang: Have you ever seen a cuter werewolf with a cooler outfit? We think not. If he looks a bit frazzled & upset, it’s only because his mom woke him up from his afternoon nap.
These are strong, well-made bandages. They have a fast absorbing gauze. They stay stuck when you want them to, but peel off easily when it’s time. Xander tested one on a finger boo boo and I did a mommy test-run on my own hand. Both bandages held up to dirt, hand washing, lotion application, cat hair, a good soak in water (a bath for Xander and dish washing for me), and much more.
A quick bit of concentrated light gets them to glow. A flashlight works great… and it’s something your little ghouls and goblins are likely to have handy when trick or treating. I was Lame Mom and just used my LED book light.
I was expecting these to be way over-priced like most of the “specialty” bandages usually are, but these are selling for under $2.50 on Amazon. (Free shipping with Prime.) You can also find them seasonally at Walmart. They have other fin designs for outside the Halloween season, too.
Pros: Fun and cute designs that glow in the dark! Sterile and waterproof. Great price. Not just for kids!
Cons: The designs are so cute, kids might be looking for reasons to wear them!
