Company Bio: “Great tasting food that happens to be organic. That’s what we kept in mind when we created our products. We focus on the kinds of products we loved as kids, but take them one step further by using the highest quality of available organic ingredients.
We find that people really want to know how the ingredients are grown and processed on the way to their grocer’s shelf. When people see how much organic foods have improved since the early days of packaged ‘health’ foods, we hope they’ll try other organic food products.”

Personal Experience: Newman’s Own Organics provided me with a large complimentary selection of their products for the purpose of this review. It included many great snacks including a variety of pretzels, licorice, and cookies.
If I had to pick one favorite product among the entire line of Newman’s Own Organics, it would definitely be the licorice. It’s soft and chewy and so full of amazing flavor! It doesn’t matter which flavor… they’re all good… but I do have a special affinity for the sour flavors. The coating of sugar against the sweetness of the licorice just makes for an amazing snack. The licorice, of course, was the first thing to disappear. Unfortunately, I can’t locate any locally. My mom has even joined the quest, because we got her addicted too. I did eventually find that one of my local grocers carries the entire line of products… with one exception. I put in a suggestion and I hope to see the addition soon, but meanwhile I’m ordering from Amazon.
I love the variety of cookies that Newman’s Own Organics offers… Fig Newmans, Hermits, several varieties of Newman-O’s, and many varieties of bagged cookies. My husband snapped up the bag of Fig Newmans in just minutes after I opened our box of goodies. He says that the Fig Newmans are way better than [that other fig cookie brand]. I love the little bagged cookies. The basic chocolate chip are very good, but the oatmeal chocolate chip take it one step up to awesome. They both have a great crunch with soft chocolate chips inside. The Prince really enjoyed the soft and chewy Hermits. (Still wish they’d make a version of raisin-free Hermits… I’d be all over those!
Newman’s Own Organics has such an amazing selection of pretzels. One of my personal favorites is the High Protein pretzels. As a dieter, these provide a really satisfying snack. I get the crunch I’m craving with an extra burst of filling protein. The pretzels all have a great balance of crunch and saltiness. The Honey Wheat were a great change of pace. A bit of extra flavor from the whole wheat dough and a touch of sweetness to go with the salty crunch. All-in-all a great collection of snacks suitable for everyday meals and parties.
Pros: Great tasting favorites made organic. Lots of flavor choices in every category. Most products are easy to find at the stores you already shop at.
Cons: Where is the licorice?!
