  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Please feel free to leave a comment with either the link to your own Teaser Tuesday post, or share your answer in a comment here and/or at Should Be Reading. Thanks!

My Teaser

Tilhtinora, the dark city! I talk about it with Earth humans, through the corpse roads, and they tell me stories about Atlantis, El Dorado, and Camelot: ancient cities that may or may not actually have existed, that may or may not have had advanced civilizations living in them, that may or may not have disappeared thousands of years ago, and that just might hold ancient secrets or magical technology; if only they could be found.

Excerpt From

beastswalkingcityBeasts of the Walking City by Del Law

His parents were killed. His people are hunted. His world is at war.

All of his life, Blackwell has been looking for a break, a place to call home–and suddenly someone’s come to take that away from him again. Now he’s chasing a mysterious artifact on a one-way trip into the heart of danger, and as friends begin to fall around him he’ll have to decide if he can stand up and fight back.

Beasts of the Walking City is an epic-fantasy thriller, full of steampunk cities that float and walk and fly, wild magic, time travel, and the fate of two worlds hanging in the balance. With characters you’ll be rooting for, and a plot that really surprises, you won’t want to put this book down.
