It’s hard to believe that it has already been three months since I started my journey with Nutrisystem. I remember how excited I was to try the program and how hopeful I was. I didn’t quite reach the original goal I set for myself, but I lost more weight and inches than I honestly believed I would. In the process, I also learned a bit more about ways to get a handle on my messed up metabolism.
My first month was a roaring success and where I lost the bulk of the weight that I’ve taken off. I found the plan easy to stick to and I was enjoying the food. I lost just under 10 pounds in my first month.
The second month proved to be a bit more difficult. I had the same basic menu and I honestly didn’t want to eat my foods. I was bored with the menu. I got way off track at times, but ended the month another 4 pounds lighter.
I was given a whole new menu and a fresh start for my third month. I just couldn’t fully get back on track and I’m not really sure why. I guess the busy summer and lots of time away from home didn’t help. Somehow, I kept the lessons I’d learned and found myself making wiser choices even in my moments of indulgence. I lost another 2 pounds in my final month.
Overall, I have lost 15.7 pounds in my three months with Nutrisystem. It’s hard to see in the before and after photos, but I do feel a difference and I’m wearing a jean size smaller. Despite the rocky end to my journey, I do wish I could carry on with Nutrisystem. I honestly believe it could be key to finally beating my battle with a rotten metabolism. For many it may not sound like much, but that 15.7 pounds is more than I’ve taken off in the previous 12 years of dieting. There are so many ways to cut the cost of Nutrisystem, but it’s just not in our finances right now. Maybe someday soon things will settle down (or I’ll get incredibly lucky and Nutrisystem will give me another 3 months to make a bigger impact), but for now I must take the lessons I’ve learned and make the most of it.
Note: As a #NSNation Nutrisystem Blogger, I was chosen to try Nutrisystem and write about my experience. Nutrisystem is providing me with the My Way Plan at no cost to myself. This plan includes 28 days of nutritious and delicious food delivered right to your door to help you achieve your weight loss goals.
